How to Select Exceptional Leaders with CHALLY

Duration: 1 day

Selecting the right person for the job is crucial, especially when it comes to ministry positions. Chally is an assessment tool that will provide you specific skill and behaviour information that will help you make an informed decision as to whether an individual is suited for a position.

The Chally assessment is based on extensive and ongoing actuarial research. We have researched and developed position specific profiles that measure the actual skills needed to succeed. It may be useful to know a candidate’s energy level, for example, but it is critical to know that the candidate can successfully resolve objections, or that a leader is also a good team player. Chally will help you in making better decisions.

Using Balanced Scorecard for Non-profits and Churches

(1 day with 6 follow-up monthly sessions)

A new approach to strategic management was developed by Drs. Robert Kaplan (Harvard Business School) and David Norton. They named this system the ‘Balanced Scorecard’. Recognizing some of the weaknesses of previous management approaches, the balanced scorecard approach provides a clear prescription as to what organizations should measure in order to ‘balance’ the overall perspective. Many ministries are employing this method of management, one of which is Chuck Colson’s prison ministry.

Balanced Scorecard is a management system (not only a measurement system) that enables organizations to clarify their vision and strategy and translate them into action. It provides feedback around both the internal processes and external outcomes in order to continuously improve strategic performance and results. When fully deployed, the balanced scorecard transforms strategic planning from an academic exercise into the nerve center of an enterprise.

Balance scorecard helps an organization to:

  • Live up to its Vision and Mission
  • Encourage entrepreneurship
  • Catch problems before its too late
  • Stay on target to meet its Goals
  • Encourage transparency and growth
  • Make a strong team commitment to success
