The Girls’ Brigade Malaysia has adopted MLM for the officer development program. To date we have a few hundred leaders trained and the leaders are doing MLM with their girls. In Hong Kong, Thailand and other parts of the Asia Fellowship Member countries, they’ve put it into the curriculum for the girls.

I am grateful to be able to find out more about myself and others. What I learnt humbled me and encouraged me to focus on the strengths of the people I work with, and to look for potential leaders.

One of the areas of impact that we’ve seen is increased accountability. This we believe has been a result of our asking our participants to find a coach that they need to work with.

This course is excellent because it provided handles or practical methods, tips etc, for our use. It provides a ‘mirror’ for us; I pray that God will help us to remember and learn.

These people that have come for the classes began with the pursuit of money. They only had money on their mind! But after attending the classes, we found that they have begun to change from pursuing money, and money being their only objective in their life to pursing God. And for me that is something money cannot buy.

Because I see the impact that the training has on the members of my church, I decided to take it to other nations. The first country that I took it to was Bangladesh. And I found that church planters and the pastors were greatly impacted as a result of the materials. I was invited to take these materials to Mongolia this end of the year where I will be training 40 pastors and evangelist.

“Effective and practical; Lively and dynamic sessions”

One of the delightful stories as a result of MLM in Thailand is a pastor who before he began had no leaders in his church. He was the sole leader. As a result of coming to MLM Notebook 1 and then Notebook 2, he recruited 5 other leaders in his church and begin training them. He added 2 more, so he had 7. And each of them began taking the MLM materials and training two others. So at the end of the training he’s going to have 21 leaders whereas at the start he had none.

It’s a great time of learning and discovery. I highly recommend the program for developing leaders.

One leader that we trained from an isolated people group in India, he went back and impacted all the pastors in the city. And since we trained him, he has trained 32 others who have gone on to train many more after that.

When we launched the MLM in the March of 2005, only 72 church leaders attended. Since then we have now trained 1,700 leaders and aspiring leaders from churches as well as the marketplace.
